The Board of Commissioners appoints the Veterans Service Officer to provide expert claims service to every eligible Hamlin County veteran and his/her dependents and survivors; aid the veteran in understanding entitlements, which can minimize the burden of health and economic stress; and process the necessary forms for Federal and State Veteran benefits.
